1982 Vintage Raleigh Clubman Road/Touring Bike – Reynolds 531 – 60cm – Restored in Hackney, Derbyshire for sale

Here’s a lovely Raleigh Clubman Road Bike up for sale. The Clubman was Raleigh’s top of the range touring frame in that era built with Reynolds 531 tubing and furnished with excellent quality lightweight parts. I have stripped back and restored the frame and all the components and have replaced all the perishable parts with new (tyres, cables and housing, brake pads, bar tape, saddle etc). Here’s the list of parts: • Reynolds 531 frame – 60cm (C-T). Would suit someone around the 6’ mark. Very lightweight. • Weinmann 750 centre pull brakes and levers with new pads, cables and jagwire cable housing. • Wheelset – Mallard Hubs on 27”x1 ¼” Weinmann Rims. Niely trued and fitted with new continental tyres. • Suntour ARX front and rear derailleurs. Lovely and smooth • Sugino 170mm crankset and suntour rear cassette (10 speed). • MKS Pedals • Selle Royale Saddle in period velour. • Bottom bracket and headset have been rebuilt. I have fully stripped down this bike to the frame, treated the small patches of rust it had and clear coated it to stop them coming back. The frame is not immaculate and has small scratches and chips in the paint but I feel this all adds to the character. It looks beautiful and rides very smoothly.
