Kawasaki ZXR400 Ninja (L9) in Hackney, Derbyshire for sale
This is a 2002 bike, so its 13 years old, however, it is in great condition. It has the usual scuffs and marks to be expected with a bike of its age, but they are at a minimum, but it is HPI cleared and has a brand new MOT from last week. Its basically ready to ride away. I am honestly selling as the bikes geometry is just not comfortable for my size. I am 5'10 and 90kg and the shape is just too small for me. Its a shame as I also have a Baby Blade CBR400RR which for some reason suits my shape better. It has a REMUS after market exhaust and braided hoses and a double bubble screen, other than thats its original. When I bought it, it had done hardly any miles in the last 2 years and had been kept in storage. So the tyres were in poor shape, I had a brand new set of Battleaxes put on it last week, including fitting these cost me £200. I am also having new seals put in the forks this week at motorcycle giant shepherds bush, so by the end of this auction the suspension will have been re-done on the front end. It has also had the carbs balanced and new sparks plugs last year. One of the mirrors was damaged by previous owner and has not been paint matched, but it is still the original one, as you can see from the pics this is not noticeable unless under scrutiny. Although I was intending to get black ones anyway, but thats a taste thing for whoever buys the bike. Absolute head turner, stacks of original paper work and FSH, all stamped, even got the original letter from Kawasaki to the first owner. Also got DATATOOL immobiliser and 2 sets of keys fitted by kawasaki approved installer. I will list elsewhere and reserve right to withdraw the sale, I am also not in a rush to sell so I will let the auction run its course. If you love 400's this is a great example and she is proper quick once up to speed above 8000rpm, after 10000rpm the bike really comes to life. She has been very well looked after, and I am honest when I say I am gutted its not quite the right shape and size for me. If you are first stepping into the super sport category these are great bikes, the insurance is cheap and they corner better than most modern 600's. I have seen examples of this quality being sold with more miles by dealers for close to 3 grand, I am just looking to get money for my next bike which needs to be a 600 of comparable quality, so a CBR600rr or Yamaha R6, would possibly look to do a p/x deal in this capacity. This is a summer of fun ready to go. If you see it you will buy it, and I am happy for you to come view it, test drives welcome but the cash needs to be in my hand and if you drop it you take it obviously. Cash on collection.
